If you've read my other blogs Gena's Genealogy and Food.Family.Ephemera you probably know that my research interest center around female ancestors and resources to research women. So I spend a lot of time looking at material items like signature quilts, community cookbooks, and diaries.

However, I know that some who read my postings on Gena's Genealogy are not interested in quilts or cookbooks. I already have a cooking blog so I figured this was a good time to start a quilt blog dedicated to looking at signature or inscribed quilts and researching them. This blog will concentrate on research I am doing on my inscribed quilt collection and the discoveries I make about them. As part of that I will be sharing how I learned more about the women who were involved just by researching their names.

So basically it's quilt history meets genealogy combined with some social history.
